Xupai Battery: Teaming Up with the National Track Cycling Champions Tournament to Empower a Mobile China

 On April 16, the 2013 "Xupai Battery Cup" National Track Cycling Champions Tournament opened in Changxing County, Zhejiang Province. A total of 377 athletes from 19 delegations including Zhejiang, Shandong, and Liaoning competed. The event applied the latest cycling competition rules approved by the Chinese Cycling Association, and certificates were awarded to the top eight finishers of each event.

It is reported that this is the highest-level competition hosted by the Cycling and Fencing Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. It was organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau and Zhejiang Sports Vocational and Technical College, and co-organized by the Huzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, Changxing County Sports Bureau, Changxing Sports Center, and Xupai Power Co., Ltd. (Xupai Battery). The first leg ran from April 16 to April 19.

Besides the athletes competing for gold, silver, and bronze, a major highlight of the event was Xupai Battery winning the naming rights of the tournament. Reporters learned on site that Changxing County, the host venue, is the largest production base of green and environmentally friendly power batteries in China and the "China Green Power Energy Center"; its energy storage battery industry has become a Chinese industrial cluster brand, and lithium battery, nickel-metal hydride battery, and photovoltaic energy storage technologies lead the country. Holding the first and second legs of the national track cycling tournament in Changxing reflects the spirit of the event and shows that environmental protection and energy saving are attracting growing attention from society. Among thousands of enterprises in Changxing County, Xupai Battery stood out to win the naming rights thanks not only to its strong financial support but also to its green, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving philosophy, which is in line with the tournament.
