Safety comes first. To improve Xupai Power's ability to respond to emergencies and unexpected incidents, to prevent and reduce as far as possible the damage such incidents can cause, and above all to strengthen how managers deal with them so that a mishandled incident does not turn into chaos, on June 13 Xupai Power carried out a comprehensive emergency drill. The activity was organised in line with China's Work Safety Law, the Fire Protection Law and other regulations, and with the actual situation at Xupai Power.
The drill was carried out as five separate subjects. Subject 1: a comprehensive drill assuming a fire in charging workshop No. 3; Subject 2: simulating fires caused by different materials and picking the right extinguishing equipment to put them out; Subject 3: first-response practice for a mechanical injury suffered by a casting and welding employee working against the rules; Subject 4: first-response practice for an operator fainting from heatstroke in a hot workplace during the summer heat; Subject 5: an emergency drill for a leak of waste lead paste;

The whole activity fell into two parts, safety training and on-site practice, so that theory and practice went together. Participants experienced the danger of an accident almost as if it were real, learned to handle hazards correctly and, through the accidents that can occur at work shown one by one, mastered the safety and emergency management knowledge they need and the methods of dealing with sudden incidents. The drill gave employees a working command of incident handling and familiarised them with routine procedures such as safe evacuation, correct fire fighting, first aid, on-site treatment of heatstroke and the safe disposal of hazardous solid waste. The drill ensured that employees could apply what they had learned to deal with emergencies more precisely, and raised the ability of the staff to respond to safety incidents.
