The weather is getting hotter and hotter, and in some regions the temperature has already exceeded 30 degrees. People start to feel restless, and so does the charging environment of the electric vehicle charger. So take care when charging your electric vehicle: improper charging does great damage to the battery, and this deserves special attention.

Charging in the rain with the charger exposed

Many users without a garage or carport can only park the vehicle by a window to charge it. If it rains, the charger gets wet. Being a device full of electronic components and live with current at the time, the charger can easily short-circuit or burn out when splashed with water, so charging in the rain is rather dangerous.

Charging longer than eight hours, or even all night

Many electric vehicle users charge all night for convenience, exceeding 12 hours, and sometimes even 20 hours of charging. This inevitably does great harm to the battery, may swell it, and in more serious cases may cause a fire!

Carrying the charger on the vehicle

Some users like to keep the charger on the vehicle so that charging is convenient. In fact, the electronic components on the charger's main board are soldered in place, and some of the larger ones can crack loose under vibration, causing poor contact, unstable charging current, and failure of the protection functions.

Charging in a place thick with dust

Charging generates heat, which is usually carried away by a fan. Where there is a fan, there must be an exhaust vent, and long use inevitably lets dust get in. Over time this hampers the exhaust fan; if the vent gets blocked, heat can no longer escape properly and the temperature keeps climbing!
