Recently, rain has not stopped over most of the country, and urban waterlogging has increased the difficulty of vehicle care. As more and more people use electric vehicles, it is well worth knowing how to look after one after it has been soaked in water.

1. Dry a soaked battery before charging. Electric vehicles of all brands adopt quite a few waterproofing measures, so being rained on generally does not matter. But this does not mean the vehicle can wade through water freely. A special reminder to owners: after the battery of an electric vehicle is wetted by rain, do not charge it at once; be sure to put the vehicle in a ventilated place and let it dry out before charging.

2. A water-soaked controller easily shorts and loses control. Water entering an e-bike controller can easily make the motor run in reverse. After the vehicle has been seriously soaked, the owner can remove the controller, wipe out the accumulated water inside, blow it dry with a hair dryer, and then reinstall it. Once installed, it is best to wrap the controller in plastic to improve its water resistance.

3. When an electric vehicle rides through water, the resistance of the water is great and balance can easily be lost. Riding on a flooded road, if you happen to meet a manhole cover pushed open by the current, the danger is serious. So when you encounter a flooded section, the best choice is to get off and push the vehicle.
