Key Precautions for Charging an Electric Vehicle
Electric vehicles are increasingly loved by consumers for their convenience and eco-friendliness, and charging them is a daily necessity. So what should you keep in mind when charging an electric vehicle?
1. The shallower the discharge each time (the shorter the distance traveled), the longer the battery life. Develop the good habit of charging after every use and keep the battery fully charged as much as possible.
2. Charging time should vary with the distance traveled: the longer the trip, the longer the charging time, and vice versa. Keep charging time between 4 and 12 hours and do not charge for an extended period.
3. If the battery will be left unused for a long time, charge it fully first, and generally top up the charge once a month.
4. High-current discharge can harm the battery, so use the pedals to assist when starting, going uphill, carrying heavy loads, or riding into the wind.
5. Use the matching charger when charging, place it in a cool, ventilated area, avoid high heat and humidity, and keep water out of the charger to prevent electric shock.
