Make the most of momentum. Going downhill, cut the power early and coast on momentum; approaching a traffic light, cut the power in advance and glide forward, saving power and reducing braking. When starting, push off the ground with your foot to help the vehicle get going, which raises start-up speed and cuts power loss. 

Fourth, keep good riding habits.

Do not brake frequently, do not remove the speed limiter, do not overload, start slowly, and do not twist the throttle violently.

Fifth, fit a quality battery.
