A year of prosperity, a busy early spring. On the morning of January 30, the Ecological Chemical Science and Technology Industry Park held a concentrated groundbreaking ceremony for 19 projects, including Xupai Energy of Suyu District, with total investment reaching 10.8 billion yuan, of which projects located in the park itself accounted for 4 billion yuan. District leaders Cao Xiuming, Zhang Xiaowei, Ye Shengwang and others from the four district leadership bodies attended the ceremony.

Wang Feng, member of the standing committee of the district party committee and deputy district head, hosted the project groundbreaking ceremony.

The chairman of Jiangsu Xupai New Energy Co., Ltd. pledged at the ceremony that, thanks to the care and support of the district party committee and district government and of the party working committee and management committee of the Ecological Chemical Science and Technology Industry Park, Xupai New Energy had settled smoothly. Xupai phase I will be completed and put into production in 2013, and phase II is expected to be completed in 2015. Once fully built and operating, the project will generate 7 billion yuan in annual sales revenue, pay 250 million yuan in taxes and profits, and provide 8,000 local jobs.

Jiang Hua, deputy secretary of the district party committee and secretary of the party working committee of the Ecological Chemical Science and Technology Industry Park, addressed the ceremony. He said the park and relevant departments and units would earnestly implement the project working method required by the district party committee, focus on key milestones, remove factor constraints to speed up the projects under construction, resolve practical difficulties and create the best possible development environment.

Finally, district leaders and enterprise representatives jointly cut the ribbon and laid the foundation stones for the projects.
